Costco Finasteride $22 For 6 Months

Hi all,

I just called two of my local Costco pharmacies in SoCal and they both said 180 tablets of Finasteride 1mg is $22 without a Costco membership and $18 with one. This is my first time using Finasteride, so I'm new to this, but all the prices I've seen elsewhere seem much more expensive than that. At $22, that's around $3.50 a month if you buy from Costco. All they require is your prescription, you don't even need a Costco membership.

So my question: is Costco's Finasteride a cheaper version or is it all the same? Furthermore, are any of you getting it for any cheaper than that?

Thank you!

It's all the same in terms of the meds containing finasteride, the only difference you'll notice is the fillers and binders they use to manufacture the drug.

I personally pay 70$ a month for name brand but that's just me, I don't think there's any difference between generic and name brand

I think the real question is why are so many places so much more expensive? Someone is getting rich off the backs of average people. How costco sells 180 for 20 and places like walmart or walgreens sell like 30 a month for 60 is kind of hard to think about. Like where does such a huge difference price come from and who gets all that money? obviously drug prices are ridiculously inflated over true cost, and it varies so much place to place.
