Corticosteriods & Propecia/Finasteride

I started a course of steroids today, took them this morning, was just wondering is it safe to take my finasteride even though I'm on them? It's a 14 day course, just fyi, I've been off finasteride for a week due a recent course of anti-biotics but I planned on taking my propecia tonight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finasteride actually lowers DHT levels for up to 7 days. DHT levels dont go back to baseline after 24 hours. Once a week may be beneficial to slow down hair loss significantly without much of the side effects.

As for corticosteroids, its interesting you mention them since CB-03-01 is actually weak corticosteroid but works 4 times as well as finasteride for hair loss treatments. I think you should be fine.

Thanks, hellouser, I google checked for any contraindications between drugs and found none, but I just wanted to see if anyone on here had being on both drugs at the same time as corticosteroids ramp up cortisol production in the adrenal glands and believe finatseride as some effect on said glands?

EDIT: Actually, I guess it's a non issue as I take them 12 hours apart, but;

• [h=4]prednisolone + finasteride[/h]prednisolone will decrease the level or effect of finasteride by affecting hepatic/intestinal enzyme CYP3A4 metabolism. Minor or non-significant interaction.
