Hey guys, I need your help here
Long story short: I achieved very good results from the Big 3, but had to quit propecia because it seemed to spark a very nasty depression. Thankfully it's blown over now, but I'm not looking to re-enter the void anytime soon, so I'd like to try out some sort of regimen that doesn't involve finasteride. Toppik has done wonders for my appearance, but my hair is starting to deteriorate again and I really need to get on a regimen quick before it becomes worse - right now I just want to keep hold of what I have and maybe add a little regrowth on the temples.
I've been away from the website for a little while, but I know how many knowledgeable posters there are here. That's why I'm asking for your help... here's some of what I'm considering, and if you have any comments suggestions, please tell me. I'm looking to get on whatever regimen I come up with a.s.a.p.
1. Revivogen
I see that a lot of people have mixed views about this, but I'm pretty excited. From what I understand, it's a topical DHT inhibitor, which (if it works) would be a great replacement for the propecia. I want to keep my hair for as long as possible, but I'm scared that returning to finasteride will bring back the side-effects as well... money's not an issue, so this seems like the way to go.
2. Liquid minoxidil
I switched to foam about half a year ago. Even though it was definitely less of a hassle to apply, I can't say I've been happy with the result. Since stopping finasteride I've actually more/less given up on minoxidil, but at this point I'm ready to rededicate myself to it. It can be compatible with revivogen, right (even if I have to use it at different times of day or something)?
3. Shampoos, etc.
If anyone has good suggestions here, please tell me. I don't see any reason to stop using Nizoral a few times a week, but I'd like to add other stuff as well. The Chinese herbal shampoo user Jacob posted seems interesting, as do the Elsom products.. I might want to order that. Any other suggestions though? I'd love to have a little arsenal at my disposal.
