Hi everyone

Im 20 years old and receded to a early NW2. Im currenly on propecia/nizoral and it seems that it stopped my balding for the time. But still i want a transplant for my hairline, i have a prety high forehead and it dosent look good :/.
I've read some topics on this forum and it seem that many people are against a hair transplant in my age, but why?? sory i dont get it. i know i will bald eventually and im prepared for that i have the money. I dont want to wait till im in my 30 thats just too long and i feel not good now, i just dont want to waste 10 years of my life and jus then go for it. So i thought that i will go to a good hair transplant surgeon. I want to do have a FUE by doctor Rogers in England, because ive heard that he is a reliable surgeon.
Does anyone in this forum ad a hair transplant by this surgeon ?? and if yes then can you tell me how much time do i have stand in line to have a hair transplant by this Doctor ??

Dont do a hair transplant now because you are very young to even start balding. People who bald at your age typically will become Norwood 6 or NW7 in the future. This means that even after you get your first hairtransplant or two your hairloss will continue to progress. You only have a limited supply of hair from the back of your head (donor hair) that you can put into your balding areas. This donor supply will not be enough to give you the same coverage and density of hair that you probably have right now.

My advice to you is keep on the propecia for a couple of years and see if it stabilizes your loss. Then you can consider doing a conservative hair tranplant. But even then, since you are so young you should realize that this could still be risky and you will need future transplants for sure.

Exactly, hair transplant should be a last resort due to the complications in the future when the surrounding hair of your transplanted hairs fall out, creating a mess of your head. Stay on the meds for as long as possible (try dutasteride when propecia loses its effect and try scalp exercises below) and wait for the progress on Hair Multiplication too-hopefully out by the next 10 years.

I agree with everything except the "conservative" hair transplant. It just like taking a little puff of crack. One hit and your hooked and then you need more crack. Eventually all that crack is going to destroy your life. But you can't stop or you'll look like a freak .Hair transplants only work on very few people with any kind of asthetic result. I would say that 80% of the guys that had them were never "candidates" (sounds like a priveledge doesn't it) to begin with. Keep up the good research it will save your life. How can getting more hair hurt you? Yea sounds pretty benign doesn't it.
