Hey Everyone, so right now I am taking 0.25mg finasteride everyday. The regrowth has been significant so far I think I am a great responder. I have been on finasteride for 4 months now. I am still experiencing side effects though (erections not as hard as they used to be, lower libido). I am considering coming off of it.

I was thinking of changing my regimen to spironolactone, Revivogen, and using Nizoral daily. Has anyone had success with spironolactone and Revivogen when used together? Would I have to use both topicals twice daily? I am not really concerned with regrowing my hair (but it has been nice to see new hairs grow) I am more concerned with halting further hairloss progression.

Thanks for the input guys

Also should I try lowering dose to 0.25mg EOD and see if my sides go away? They are not really that bad... But I would not want to suffer from a soft erection when I am with a girl...

a soft erection is no insignificant side in my book!

maybe try dropping the dose to every other day and adding spironolactone in the mean time to see if that makes things better

if that fails id say the combo of spironolactone and revivogen would be a good way to go, even if its probably not as potent as finasteride alone. id use spironolactone twice a day and revivogen once a day, and you can probably get away with using 1-1.5 mls a day, and you might consider adding an SOD like folligen/tricomin/prox-n somewhere in there to try and make up for the gap in effectiveness

if youre on a budget that may be your best bet, otherwise many might choose to opt for RU, but that sounds like an all around pain in the *** to me

Revivogen has been in my regimen for since Mar 22nd, and i've had no hairloss since then, of course it's probably too early to evaluate fully, before i started on it,, but that itching feeling went away when i added spironolactone, I'd been of finasteride for nearly a year and had noticed my crown going back to where it was, I'd done exceptionally well of finasteride alone, but when i tried to go back on it the sides kicked in :-( (so long finasteride you served me well)

I've added spironolactone (home made) twice a day as well, and alpecin double effect (hair feels much thicker off it). So a similar pattern to what was suggested above.

Anway if you're a good responder, and your tackling hairloss in small concentrated areas, spironolactone + rev could be a good combo. I only use 1ml a day to keep costs down
(we get screwed on the price in the UK at some point i might look at setting up some sort of buyers union to get it close to US prices)

Failing that, there's always good old fashioned RU.

Thanks for the good advice guys, I will be dropping my finasteride dose down to 0.125 mg and see how that works for me. I will be on this dose for 2 weeks and then I will evaluate if I should continue with finasteride or drop it. The thing that sucks is I am a great res ponder I already have lots of regrowth, and my male pattern baldness itch is compeltly gone all in just under 4 months..

Also where do you guys buy your revivogen and s5? Do you use this website? Is the packaging actually discreet? I wouldnt want anyone knowing I am ordering products from HairlossTalk.com :O
