Hi Everyone,

I am just confused about my regimen.I am using perfectil tab, homeopathy and capixyl. I have kept propecia as last resort. Am i doing any mistake?Has anyone used capixyl, it seems to be a wonder product as per their claims but 2.5 months already gone by, still no substantial difference, hair look almost same(actually i mean, no obvious difference).Could you please provide insights/suggestions?Thanks.

Finasteride is not a last resort. It is the only proven treatment we got atm. Ofc there is dutasteride, oral spironolactone, RU58841 and so on, but finasteride is basically the only real first and quite possibly also the last step unless you want to go the extra mile with drugs that are not approved for hairloss.

Your regimen is a mixture of snake oil and pseudoscience. Don't waste time with it. Seriously, if anyone had succes with that crap, it would be all over this forum, and it is not.

yes you are making a mistake by using that stuff and not using finasteride. Finasteride is not a last resort, it is a first resort

The regimen that you are using will do absolutely nothing to treat your hair loss. You need to take finasteride (or dutasteride) if you are serious about treating your hair loss. It is the only thing that really does work. Everything else that's currently out there is much, much less effective than finasteride/dutasteride.

It is disappointing that in the year 2014 we still haven't been able to find a better and safer alternative to 5-AR inhibitors to treat Androgenetic Alopecia. However, the reality is what it is. 5-AR inhibitors are the only thing we currently have that really does work. Without using finasteride or dutasteride, your chances of winning the long-term battle again hair loss are very slim.
