I've been losing hair on the back of my head since 2012 and it hasn't gone to the point where I was completely bald. Recently however... over the past year or so, I've been shedding slightly more hair than usual. It wasn't a huge concern at first, but right now the hair just isn't growing back. It first started out on the left side of my head, moved to the top and now the right side. I was incredibly hesitant to go to the Doctor's. My anxiety got the best of me, but I worked up the courage and went. Within the first 20 seconds of looking at my hair, mind you only the crown. She recommended I try topical minoxidil and nizoral for the dandruff.

These pics are from after washing with Nizoral. I'm a bit hesitant to go the minoxidil route because I'm concerned this is an underlying health issue and the drug might just be a band-aid for something else. I've asked my parents about baldness within the family. Mainly their siblings and parents. None of them had any signs of baldness early on in their lives. My aunts and uncles have no loss and it's only my grandparents that I see it happening in, but that's probably due to their age. My siblings show 0 signs of loss as well. Both older than me... I suppose I got the unlucky genetics.

What's affecting me right now is:
1. Lack of hair growth throughout the head
2. Dandruff
3. Itching where loss has occured
