Concerned About My Crown When Hair Is Wet

So I’m 17 and I’ve been on here for a while. I’ve been good lately with no worries but this one thing is keeping me coming back. When wet, my crown looks damn near bald, but when dry it looks like there’s a rug on my head. I’ve heard that hair clumps and that’s why it appears like that, but is there anything I could be concerned about here?

I've come to learn my hair is fine/medium with very high density. Is this normal for fine hair?

it doesnt look "damn near bald" to me when its wet. it looks normal

heres how balding men would look when their hair gets wet.

you still have a juvenile hair/line all around your head

That makes sense to me. How come if all my hair is equal density, it only looks like that around my crown? Wouldn't my whole head look like that?

Because you have a whorl there so the hair is growing in different directions. The further you get from the whorl the more hair will be layered on top of the hair even further away from the crown.

i would be more worried in the future if your hair is ever going to mature or that you will be able to grow a beard.

I think crown is OK with that exposure. Wet hair appears balding. If you start receding from temple then you should worry. I also see that you have almost no body hair which means you have less sensitive follicles to DHT . I think you will keep your most of your adult hood. Best luck.
