Obviously some will freak out at some of the listed options (because of their potential side effects) but calm down, some of these options were/are used by some and to each his own reaction as well as the degree of the importance he attributes to his hair, so this is a discussion to get some inputs (preferably from personal experiences but not necessary) on the pros/cons of the following treatments. Eventually, it will be up to each person to weigh what he has to weigh and hold any eventual responsibility.

What are the pros/cons of the following treatments:

1) Crushing spironolactone pills into powder to use topically with liquid Minoxidil

2) Crushing Minoxidil pills into powder to use topically with liquid Minoxidil

3) Adenosine

4) Topical Spironolactone (S5 Lotion)

5) Oral Spironolactone

6) Oral Minoxidil

7) Bimatoprost

8) Latanoprost

9) Topical Progesterone

10) Topical Estradiol

11) Topical Flutamide

12) Fluridil (Topilutamide)

13) Oral Bicalutamide

14) Topical Bicalutamide

15) RU58841

16) Dutasteride

What part of "other than the big 3" you do not get? Where did I ever mention that these are proven and can be miracle treatments? (Not to also mention that I am taking them? Lol).

This is, again, a compilation as, according to some, can "help" with hair loss regardless if I am myself suffering from it or not.

Oh and by the way, some of these were actually proven to work according to some studies. (Adenosine: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24183218 for example)

A few questions:

1. Why is oral spironolactone bad? its a systemic anti androgen apparently but people, including males are taking it for blood pressure.

2. How does RU work? Does it block 5ar or the actual scalp androgen receptor?

Oral spironolactone is said to give you man boobs but it has a nice side effect as well: You skin will be wiped off from acne. So be careful with oral spironolactone, only take it if you really know what you are doing.
