Okay so alot of people are going with Proscar, rather then propecia, witch is a lot cheaper so i can understand that, however wouldent proscar be MORE benifical because not only is it allot cheaper it is also .25 mg MORE each day you use it, therefore one would think the more Finesteride the better for attacking DHT, and yes we all know that to much of a good thing is a bad thing but its really not THAT much more, so thats why i think it would be more effective and might over time i belive you would see results sooner then u would using propecia....ANY thoughts???

Hmm, depends on how you define *much* more. 25% is a pretty significant increase wouldn't you say?

You should read the dosage effects studies that found almost no difference from 0.2mg to 1mg dosage in blockage

P.s. Also, its SENSE not SENCE lol

My knowledge is limited in pharmacology, but most drug dosage curves are hyperbolic in shape with increasing drug concentrations (meaning the desired response starts to level off at a certain concentration, and response even begins to fall once concentration gets too high). I would assume that if Merck recommends 1 mg a day, that is the dosage where you are getting maximum efficacy while maintaining tolerable side effects. Drug dosing is a very complicated topic, and I don't think it's recommended to increase your dosage without speaking to a doctor (especially if you're thinking about upping it by 1/4 the recommended amount).

I don't see how they are mutually exclusive "bytch" Strange, proper spelling and grammar are lost on the internet. What, you can't ask a question using proper spelling? Even something as rudimentary a mistake as "sense" lol versus "sence." :hairy: :p

Seriously, aren't you embarrassed enough to at least change (and I will be generous here) the *typo* in your subject? And with such a nice attitude, I am sure all us regulars are going to be thrilled to have you a part of this community.

Juststarting not condoning Dpunkz attitude but I think you may have touched a nerve with the spelling comment. why don’t we try and stay on topic and not make fun of each other.

Agreed. I was just teasing about the spelling error, but his response was a bit over the top.
