Comments on proposed growth regimen

I am currently looking to regrow and add some thickness to my reasonably early signs of thinning.

I have been on 1.25mg daily of finasteride for just on 8 months now as well as 2% Nizoral.

I have also just ordered some Tricomin spray which I will use prior to bed each day as soon as I receive it.

I am also thinking of adding Nano shampoo. (Anyone know where to purchase in Australia?) Would this be too much as the Tricomin and Nano are both copper peptide solutions? Would I better adding something like Revivogen instead?

I have also found this http://www.hairassist.com/essentialIngredients.html at my local pharmacy which I thought I may throw in after my morning shower as it's reasonably cheap.

I am keen to try other methods to thicken my existing hair and hopefully obtain some regrowth before turning to minoxidil.

Also added 300 mcg of Biotin and 2500mg of MSM (with 600mg Vitamin C) to my regular daily multi vitamin.

Comments please?

OK, so no responses... Perhaps it's time for a photo.

Is it realistic to think that I can thicken up my hair with a combo of 1.25mg finasteride, Tricomin nightly, Nizoral every 3 days and NANO shampoo and conditioner every alternate 3 days.

Would you suggest the addition of Prox-N when I order my NANO?

The reason many people don't respond to these posts is because they occur so often. Also, because who knows if you should use both Tricomin and Nano Shampoo , it's a tough question.

I think your regimen would be very effective for thickening up your hair. Most users see healthier hair when they hop on Finasteride and with the combination of Nizoral and a Copper peptide solution you could get even better results. But , as is said many times on this forum , everyone reacts differently. You could regrow everything you have lost, though highly unlikely or you could regrow nothing.

At the moment it seems like the ideal time to begin Finasteride. Though the picture isn't exactly perfect , it seems that you haven't lost a lot. The earlier you tackle the hair loss the better results you'll get. My guess is you are in your mid 20's right?

I know a lot of people swear by minoxidil on these forums , I personally don't. I would wait until the 6 month mark of taking finasteride to consider it. That way you can judge how well each drug works for you. It is also a hassle applying it when compared with just popping a pill.
The foundations of a good regimen also include the cost , buy generic finasteride online. You will save a lot. I honestly can't tell you if the MSM or Biotin will actually make a difference , in theory it could assist your follicles in their regrowth when used in conjunction with Finasteride, but who really knows?

Good luck with your regimen anyways and remember to take pictures every fortnight.

Will get more responses in right area. (moved)

e2a- regimen looks fine, though I would make a choice between proxy-n or tricomin, not both.

Is this from a cost point of view?

Decro - I have been on finasteride for 9 months and Tricomin for a little over 1 month. About to order NANO and Prox-N.

Dr Proctors products already contain copper peptides, so this could save you cash, unless you think doubling up on cp's will help.

Anyone else think this is a pretty aggressive regime for very
little if any loss? What did your before picture look like?

If it were me I would half my finasteride dosage, add 1% nizoral and monitor
with a lot of pictures. I guess I'm not in the preventive bandwagon, it
seems to me there is plenty of time to recover if you do see real
thinning. What I see in your picture is a fairly normal scalp.

Thanks Casperz, made me feel a little better. I would still like to see some regrowth and additional thickening now though - I will post up some other pics soon.

Anyone else got a thought on the regimen? In the case of only using one of Tricomin or Prox-N, which would you choose? (I was actualy thinking of using both - Prox-N in the morning & Tricomin before bed).

minoxidil may be the only other thing you should consider adding, but you have to use it 2x day and may get a shed from it.

i wouldn't spend money on any other products at this point in time bar the big 3 (finasteride, nizoral, minoxidil). though the only thing i can tolerate is nizoral.

So, where to from here?
As previously stated I have been on finasteride for 9+ months, Tricomin nightly for a month and Nizoral every 2-3 days.
I am hesitant to use minoxidil now without trying other solutions first.

Would you recommend I add both NANO and Prox-N to my regimen?

Would these products help to regrow and thicken?

More pics...

I would really appreciate your further thoughts on the regimen after seeing the photos.

Dr Proctor - do you think your products could realistically help my situation?

Thanks for the reply Sonic, I appreciate your response but have to disagree with the answer.

You can't deny that there is some thinning visable in those photos.

Everyone says the sooner you catch it, the better the chance that you can recover what's been lost... hence what I am asking about those particular products.
