Combining finasteride and dutasteride?

I wanted to know if anyone knows about the possible effects and side effects of dutasteride and finasteride.

I am currently only take 1mg finasteride every day but I am not so satisfied with the results so far (taking it like 18 months non-stop). I now thought about adding dutasteride. I am not so scared about side-effects and my idea was to do the following:

Take dutasteride 0,5mg twice a week and the rest of the days finasteride 1mg. What do you think about this? Is this dangerous?

There's no point in taking both 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors together. Dutasteride does everything Finasteride plus more. If you're going to add any amount of Avodart to your Propecia regimen, might as well make the switch completely, again no point in taking both. If Finasteride is maintaining your hair just fine, no need to switch to Dutasteride.

If you are not happy with finasteride results and do not have any sides from finasteride you could try dutasteride as well. Issue here is with the sides... dutasteride can have more severe side effects but if you have no problem with finasteride so far it may be worth trying it.

yea, just switch to dutasteride, but i think u need a topical androgen blocker like RU. if its been 18 month n its not working, i would try an alternative route.u can use both the ru n cut together
