Now, I am aware that hairs on the scalp typically grow in clusters of 1–4. I was using my USB microscope the other day to have a look, and it was mostly twos I was seeing.
Am I right in saying that one follicle has multiple hairs then (a unit)? If so, how does the balding process actually work? Do all these hairs in the cluster thin simultaneously because they're coming from the same follicle, or does one go before the other(s).
