Closed Threads

I tried to respond to a thread but now I see that it is closed. Why do threads get closed all of a sudden?

Many different possibilities such as irrelevant unpleasant arguments, threats to others, derma rolling discussions, an administrator decided to close the thread, and many other possible different reasons.

I believe the originator can also close a thread. Remember the male pattern baldness organization( I think that's what it was called) thread...
