Clipping your own hair?

Hey just wondering if any of you cut your own hair with the clippers? Is it hard to do? How do you go about it

I usually just get a 2 on sides and 4 on top but would be so much cheaper if i could do it myself instead of going monthly to barbers.
The back of head might be a bit hard though yea

it's alot easier to cut the whole head one length

maybe you could have a friend help you with the 2-4
or maybe i would have the friend cut it an 3-4

that way if he or she messes up
you can cut the whole head a 3

does that make sense?

Yeah i do it myself. I buzzed my hair with clippers on a #1. Its pretty easy, you just need a mirror and another mirror so you can see the back and learning how to go against the growth of hair. The cowlick area can be tricky.

I used to clipper my hair all the time before I started thinning. Blending in different lengths isnt hard.. I got it right on my first try and with a little practice I could do the back without looking and everyone said I did a great job. The only thing thats hard to do (and requires mirrors) is tapering the back and/ or clearing off the hackle below your back hairline. Good Luck!
