today arrived my Cipla Fincar Finasteride IP 5mg

Can anyone tell me what the difference between

Finasteride USP and Finasteride IP is?

I never heard of Finasteride IP.

USP stands for United States Pharmacopoeia and IP for Indian Pharmacopoeia.

These are the "official public-standards-setting authority" for meds sold or manufactured in these countries.
