Chest pains

Hey all,

I've been using Xandrox 5% for a couple weeks now. I've been having some minor chest pains for the last couple of weeks too. Is this a possible side effect of minoxidil? Is this something that will subside with time, or do you guys think I should get off the minoxidil now?

That is not a good sign. That is a side effect from minoxidill. Happens to every couple guys. The chest pains happened when you started Xandrox? You didn't use regular rogaine before? You might have to stop using the 5%. Maybe you can lower to rogaine 2%.

On the rogaine box and direction pamphlet it says if you get chest pains you should stop using it right away. I never got chest pains so I don't know what to say. I would call rogaine and ask them.

That is one of the side effects as can be shortness of breath.

Are you using 1ML or a bit more with each app? I had these issues when I used to slather more than the 1ML on my head.

Also, you can try using it just at night for a week or two and then move to twice a day apps. That helped me adjust in going from 2 to 5%.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll quit for a few weeks to see if the chest pains go away. And then start up again with once a day applications, like you suggested.

I used minoxidil before. Never for very long. But this is definitely the first time I've noticed chest pains. Who knows? Maybe it's something else. Hopefully, the pains go away and I can start up again.

I have noticed chest pains also. I used to use Rogaine with no problems and then started up again recently. I didn't know chest pains were a side affect until I read it in a forum. I hope it isn't my mind playing tricks on me!!!!

I play squash 3 hours a week and never feel any pain while on the court. I probably am being a hypochondriac

As for young I just got fed up with him fingering every celeb out there. The people he talked about don't even have problems- Matt Damon, come on. If I recall correctly, you started off that thread by saying, "I realize their are a bunch of ***'s here who will try and dispute my findings."

After you called most of the posters here "***'s" (that's ASSES by the way, not "***'s"), I replied that you sound paranoid for thinking that you would be attacked for suggesting a shampoo. I suggested you work on that. I then went on to THANK you for your advice about Loprox - which I intend to use once I go see a Doctor to get the prescription. Hmmm. Yeah, real ungrateful, right?

Go back and read the thread. Hell, in another thread I suggested you try Nano since I've heard good things about it and am now using it myself. See, I try to be helpful too - even when people act like pricks.
