So i was on minoxidil for 2 months and i have been on proscar for one month. I saw a dermatologist last week and they said to stop minoxidil and that i should not have gone on IT at all "my doctor put me on it" so here is my question i had just started shedding about four weeks ago and stopped minx about 1 week ago, "i am going to keep up with the Proscar" how long usually dose it take for minoxidil to leave your system and how long should i expect this shed to last i know there is no way to no for sure i am just looking for examples.

At this rate i will be bald in no time.

Shedding after stopping minoxidil is par for the course. Just keep cool, and remember that one thing that minoxidil DEFINETLY does NOT do is harm hair follicles. Your hair will regrow to exactly the point it would be if you never had used minoxidil at all.

It may take time, though. Takes 3 months for a follicle, after being shed, to once again grow to a length where it makes its first reappearance outside of your scalp skin.

I'd pay close attention to your scalp health now, are you using Nizoral?

yup

yes i use Nizoral 3 times a week and t-gel 2 times a long with heavy conditioning, i am also on proscar once a day.

is there anything Else i should use

You use medicated shampoos 5 times a week? Seems a bit much... 2-4 times a week is the norm.

he told me to stop taking minoxidil because i do not need it yet maybe down the road not yet, i am going to just use nizoral 3 times a week from now on.

should i add anything Else to help the shedding grow back faster

just use nizoral? i thought you were going to stay on finasteride? id recommend you stay on finasteride.
