Hi,

I would like to hear your opinions on how change in hair care affected shedding. I am sure the very first thing you guys did when shedding started was change in hair care. Wash them more/less often was my first attempt.
I tested it only for two weeks with no serious effects. Now I want to try it once again for longer period of time. Of course for male pattern baldness it won't help since it is clearly hereditary issue. Guys wish shedding all over the head (like in my case) may find out something interesting.

My shedding has started right after I begun to work in the office, more about my story here -> https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/thinning-of-the-hairs-due-to-office-work.102672/

*** My observations ***
1. My colleagues who work with me in the office and are bald have very oily scalp after few hours. Those who have plenty of hairs don't have the same issue!
2. When my shedding started I also noticed increase in sebum production. I link it with change in environment around me - I moved from small town to city, work 8h a day in the office with air conditioning etc. So I thought and still think this is the root of the problem. As a prove - for a week I am back in home spending my vacation and suprisingly my scalp behaves differently now. Produces less sebum and hairs becames greesy after 1.5-2 days instead of 8h as it was in office. One more thing, in office my hands had sweated a lot, same thing with face. Now no such thing!

Please share your observations - what have you tried and how your scalp reacted to it? Do you link your hair issue to anything like change in lifestyle, environment etc? Any ideas, thought are very welcome! ;)

The same thing with me, I used to wash hair ever 4-5 days, and scalp is so oily now that I need to wash it every other day. Also my scalp is itchy most of the time. And I also noticed that my scalp gets more oily after sex/masturbation.

mdmnota: thanks for information.

According to wikipidia Telogen phase last 1-4 months. That means anything we do to stop hairs shedding can give as effects after minimum one month!

For those of you who had tested DHT, Testosterone levels - what result did you get? I've been told that there is no rule and low level of testosterone as well as high may result in shedding. Would you agree?
