CCS Hair transplant

I agree that anything CCS says SHOULD NOT be taken as expert opinion. I feel that anybody who is willing to take anyones advice over a doctors on an internet forum is clueless/gullible anyways so we shouldn't blame CCS for this. He seems like a good guy, admittedly OCD like you said Cassin, but he doesnt seem to be causing any problems (except maybe his medication analysis thread lol).

Anyways, I think this is an awesome board for the most part esp with posters like Bryan and Michael Barry who I have learned a lot from. I just wish this board was more active in the hair transplant section than it is, but other than that no complaints.

Yeah, it appears that way. The only way to gain credibility is to put up or shut up. He mirrors a poster on another forum called "THeFittest" who posted thousands of times to a point where he was so popular guys were asking him for advise. He never posted pics which led to his demise. It's pretty scary that guys ask unknown posters for medical advise when they should be going directly to their docs to do so. That is in fact true research not what some person with no formal training says from their experience or non peer reviewed research. I worry about newbies who are desperate, they fall victim to anecdotal advise like this.

What is the value of his posts? Moral support at best. Dont be so gullible. Knowledgeable?? Hardly, just reiterating info that has be dragged up and down forums on the net. There is nothing objective about someone who takes out his gilbert chemistry set and says this is what you should use to help your hairloss. Sorry, I disagree with you wholeheartedly.

Depends on who you go to. Of course a internist most like wont know but he WILL know what BS you put in your body will do to you.

Did u guys know that oral spironolactone can cause drops in BP? No one wants to discuss that but my doctor who you guys say know Sh-t educated me on it. I never took it b/c I didnt want to stroke out. Please dont make statements like this to support a enthusiastic collegekid with OCD for the sake of it. Some poor desperate follically challenged guy can fall victim to this.

firstly ,im not gullible.

secondly,he is knowledgeable,even if all this info is out there on the net,he still knows it and goes out of his way to answer questions to the best of his ability.personally ive never taken advice from him cos i showed up a year ago,got on the big three and et voila! of course people should consult their doctors but asking ccs for his views and knowledge is perfectly fine.

Some of you are being both rude and unfair. CCS has spent a lot of times on these boards posting on threads helping newbies out and reading studies and trying to devise hair loss treatments. He was one of the first people to reply to my tell your story thread when I first joined, even though he joined after me. He already admitted that posting the results before completing testing was a mistake so why do people have to keep harping on it?

You're right that a lot of info that we all talk about is available on the net in medical studies and forum archives but it would take hours upon hours to find it. Posting it here for people to read in an easy to understand manner is undoubtedly very helpful. If you can't appreciate that then I feel sorry for you. There are other treatments out there that can complement the big 3 and if people want to dismiss his posts then fine, go ahead. But you'll be hurting yourselves and the board in the long run.

I spend a lot of time in the tell your story forum answering basic or intermediate questions that most people could answer for themselves if they spent time searching the web. That doesn't mean I'm wasting my time or that it's unimportant. If people get a bad impression of this board and thinks that no one here wants to spend the time to help them then this board will suffer.

I did not know about the drop in BP, but again, I've been telling people not to take it. Can you mention any bad advice i've given people?
