CCS Hair transplant

CCS,

I heard that you have had two Hair transplant procedures. My question to you is, why are you using RU and finasteride and all that good stuff if you have already had two procedures? I would think you must have a pretty good head of hair that is now DHT resistant from the hair transplant's.

He is doing it because he packed almost all his grafts in the front. If he loses his crown he will look unnatural, hence the medications. Correct me if I am wrong CCS.

I hope CCS doesn´t mind when answering that his front looks very thin even after his hair transplants. He needs thickening.

You saw a pic of his hair transplant?

My front looks thin because half of the grafts have not yet grown out after my surgery about 2 months ago. Also, the ones that are growing out still need to develop over the next year to reach their full diameter. 30/cm2 of non -matured FU's is not that thick, though it does blend a bit with the hair behind it. I'm very optimistic after Dr Keene told me that my sides are 60 FU/cm2, and I will have 50 in front. My sides are extremely corse, making them look a lot denser than some people's I know.

I had 3 procedures, though the first was pretty small.

The reason for my regimen is my frontal center, about 1-3 inches behind the hair line, has been very thin before i got on propecia. Since none of the hairs have died yet, i don't want to put grafts between them. My goal is to grow them out with my regimen. It looks to me like my regimen is thickening them. Even when I my hair is wet and 3/4 inch long and i stand under the bathroom lights, my front now looks almost as thick as my sides, though still a bit thinning. Not bad for the short time i've been using my regimen, and I'm about to make it much stronger.

CCS,

You're right. You have alot more coming if it's only been a couple of months post-op. And your coarser hair quality will help alot. We both have another year or so to realize the benefit of our procedures. :hairy:

Yeah, it appears that way. The only way to gain credibility is to put up or shut up. He mirrors a poster on another forum called "THeFittest" who posted thousands of times to a point where he was so popular guys were asking him for advise. He never posted pics which led to his demise. It's pretty scary that guys ask unknown posters for medical advise when they should be going directly to their docs to do so. That is in fact true research not what some person with no formal training says from their experience or non peer reviewed research. I worry about newbies who are desperate, they fall victim to anecdotal advise like this.

I really don't care. I don't care that cassin says i'm not trustworthy. All I care is that people sent me samples, and I got to analyze them so I can know. Helping others is just a bonus. If posting pics is on obstacle for some people to get credibility, they can post someone else's pics. And i don't see what my pics would prove anyway. You've all seen hair transplant pics a zillion times. What good would mine do you?

My grafts will hide any new fuzz, so you can't see that. I already told you how wide the scar is. Do you need pics to believe that? I hope not. It is easy for you guys to post pics when you have a digital camera. If I want to post pics, i have to go to my friend's place and ask him to take pictures of my hair in proper lighting, and then everyone there will think, "he really is obsessing about his hair." Why don't you guys tell me what good my pics will do you before you ask me to go do that? I won't need a camera to see the difference between RU and GTE since I'm only applying RU to a test spot. And if you think I'd lie, then how do you know I did not apply topik and then take a picture? If someone wants to fool you, they will.

i agree. I've been telling people that most docs don't know sh^t. You have to understand that they are just people, and some future ones are in my college classes cramming stuff they will forget later, and that is just the core stuff. Hair loss is a very speciallized area. You can take almost any one topic, research it thuroughly on the net, and probably know more about it than your Doctor. Docs have to know so many different topics that they just can't read as much on each one as you do on the one.

Do you think your Doctor knows about CP's or spironolactone or RU or any of the other stuff? My Doctor did not even know about Avodart. Most only know about rogaine and propecia.

I'm not saying my Doctor just refused to prescribe avodart. I'm saying she told me she had never heard of it before and said she won't prescribe a drug she knows nothing about.

CCS,

Don't worry if you can't show us your pictures. You seem like a cool guy anyways. If you can show us your pics in the future show us, if not no biggie. We're just interested in your results esp since you're such an "esteemed" poster.

And I could not agree with LookingGood! more. It's very concerning.

And it does not matter if a doctor knows what RU or Copper Peptides are. What matters is your putting drugs in/on your body without doctor supervision. Anyone whio simply dismisses doctors so easily is not being rational.

People that come up here, post a ton of posts and are sudden experts because they have read a few things are a dime a dozen. They come in and our like a hurricane and burn out fast. They get pisssed at a few posters and we end up having to delete them because they are so burned out and end up causing problems. It an OCD obsession. Happens all the time.

Not saying that is going to happen or is happening to CCS, but it is a common pattern that is repeated every 6 months or so by new posters.

I agree that anything CCS says SHOULD NOT be taken as expert opinion. I feel that anybody who is willing to take anyones advice over a doctors on an internet forum is clueless/gullible anyways so we shouldn't blame CCS for this. He seems like a good guy, admittedly OCD like you said Cassin, but he doesnt seem to be causing any problems (except maybe his medication analysis thread lol).

Anyways, I think this is an awesome board for the most part esp with posters like Bryan and Michael Barry who I have learned a lot from. I just wish this board was more active in the hair transplant section than it is, but other than that no complaints. :)

And by the way, comments like this are inevitable when someone posts a lot. I have had my share on me. So don't take it personal CCS.
