besides genetics, what can contribute to hair loss. My hairline has shot back a lot and i'm only 18. Ive been on propecia for a month, and i dont know if its gonna do much because i just have a receding hairline.

I had thinning temples at 18, and recession by 20. My hairline recession halted there for several years. From my experience, the recession does NOT happen all at once but at marked stages through your life.

I'm 35 now, and only started treatments last year! I hope you hold your hairline as long as mine... or, if you have started treatments, then you won't have as large of a genetic battlefield on your scalp for several years and you will hold your hairline longer than I did.
