Can you really get bloated/fatty face from finasteride or dutasteride?

Every now and then I'll see somebody say that finasteride or dutasteride made their face a little fatter or something. So why isn't this listed officially as one of the side effects? How common is it that people experience this, and can taking either really cause you to gain fat anywhere (besides gyno)?

Bloating is a common side effect caused by elevated estrogen levels when on 5ar inhibitors like finasteride and dutasteride.

All you need is an anti estrogen. Evista or Nolvadex would do the job. To reduce water retention further consider the use of a powerful aromatase inhibitor such as femara.

Can the increased estrogen also cause you to gain fat elsewhere?

And do you have to continually take anti-estrogen pills for as long as you're on the dht-inhibitor?

This sounds like a pretty pain in the *** side-effect for something that isn't even listed as a side.
