Can You Put Hair Concealer On A Hair System?

If the system is too thin, can you put a hair concealer like dermmatch on it to make it thicker or it will damage the system?

I have heard of people doing this, in situations where the cut was wrong, or the system has a thin patch. It's hair, so it shouldn't make a difference.
