Can You Only Get Graduated Transition Hairlines On Customised Units?

The more I look the more I see solid hairlines on stock units

I am looking primarily at a stock unit as I should be able to return it if I feel its not for me (as opposed to a customised system)

Can you only get graduated transition hairlines on customised units? does it really matter that much for a shorter unexposed hairline?

Most reputable dealers, such as those we all use on these forms, have graduated hairlines on their stock systems.
