Can U Guys Comment On My Hair And Hairline? Starting Propecia After 1.4 Years Of Minoxidil

Hey guys, I’m 17 and I started balding at 15-16. Yup pretty early. I havent seen a dermatologist. Nevertheless, these pictures are after a year and four months on minoxidil. I stopped minoxidil for a month and I just started again, I’m getting the itchy scalp side affect but I didn’t have it when first started. I’m going to start propecia as I am getting greedy and want more hair. Can u guys comment on my hairline is it receding badly or is it normal? It’s been like this for two years and hasn’t changed but I feel like I’m receding from the temples

You should a little more longer before taking finasteride, you still too young for this drug being 17

On my mothers side they all start balding at 25 but my grandfather isn’t bald. On my fathers side non are bald except for my father and my grandfather.

agreed but people act like there is some magic switch that is turned on the day you turn 18 that makes it okay to take finasteride. If OP started puberty at 12 and finished growing by 16 I would feel far more comfortable recommending him take finasteride than someone who started puberty at 14 and is currently 18.

When did you start puberty OP? you seem to have a pretty full beard for your age. And yeah your hairline is awesome, just that crown you need to worry about for the moment.

Sorry to say bro, those are the 2 most important factors in assessing if you will experience male pattern baldness.

Your problem isnt hairline related, you seem to be suffering from aggressive diffuse thinning. If i were you id hop on minoxidil for the next year, see how you get on with that and try to prolong propecia till you're about 19 years old.

Wow, such a beard at 17? I think your puberty is prety much at its end already. You should consider treatment now, or you will regret. You have a nice facial aesthetics, though.
