I started losing hair around 1.5 year ago, as a side effect of taking isotretinoin, but I finished course and discontinued medication exactly 1 year ago. Since i hated seeing hair going away(shedding all over in shower and every time I pulled), i just shaved my hair most of the time. Recently I started letting hair grow a bit and see if there were signs of any possible regrowth. Can those white hairs as seen on the picture be a sign of possible future thickening and regrowth in general? I dont use and didnt use any medication. Thank you.

No. If you have Androgenetic Alopecia, and use no medication, hair won't magically grow back tickher.

The hair loss was a side effect of Accutane confirmed by my doctor, since it started few weeks after starting a regimen. I started shedding hair so it was falling in the shower and every time I pulled it (same with my eyebrows).

OMG. How much Tretinoin did they give you?
Was it for acne?
Your hair seems to be regrowing indeed, I just wonder about your left temple.

Well, yes it was for acne (30 - 40 mg/day), I also had mrsa on my back but it was treated silmutinously with antibiotics. The thing is, my dermatologist didnt tell me a thing about accutane (and I definitely think it could have been avoided, or well it couldnt really cause it would have to be different universe I guess :) ), not even basic side effects as dryness of the whole body, which is nowhere close to worse. I eventually discountinued medications (after 5 months, 1 month to finish) and decided to go on a vegan diet (to try to heal/minimize side effects, mostly totally destroyed gut flora and intestines, since i have not been taking any probiotics at a time... ). Now after little over a year that terrible dryness is going away, finally, and all the other things are improving too. Maybe hair will eventually be one of them, because that has been pretty hard, since I have just turned 21 and to be honest (not egoistic in absolutely any way), it was just too easy with girls while I had them, it was kind of weird to me always, because I never percieved myself as they would always describe me and I think I have never really appreciated it. Well, at least till now right ? :). But I am not going to use any treatment or medication, I will let it take its course. If it is supposed to grow back, let it happen, if not, I will have to just stop caring. I will post a picture of left temple later.

well..... Am not sure that your hairs are regrowing but it looks better as it is or you have to try some remedies to get back thicker hair.
Good luck
Well there are no natural remedies that would help with such a thing as getting hairs back, it is a systemic issue and only way to do that is inside out, and what i mean are not any herbs, just a diet with all the nutrients that you need. About artificial remedies, I am not gonna use them, that I have decided a long time ago (if there will be 100% cure for losing hair to the point where you just get it all back, like some futuristic scenario, then probably yes, cause why not? ).

As u wish. I can't force to try natural remedies.
But according to me natural remedies are better than any medical treatment cuz it has no side effects so its better to go natural.
Medical treatments are never helpful and these are expensive and painfull too. Still no results.
I totally agree with you on that and I am definitely not saying that natural remedies dont work, it is a fact that they do in general. What I am saying that there if hair is not supposed to grow anymore, I dont think any remedy (oils, herbs, etc.) will fix that. Of course there may be many reason for hair loss other than genetic one, such as nutrition problems (deficiences, thyroid etc.) where natural remedies will definitely help fix the problem, but then you have side effects from medical drugs (which is my case) where if damage is reversible, hair will grow back on their own, if it is not, no natural remedy will help you (ofc. just as far as I know). Then you have many skin conditions causing hair loss and there natural remedies can play a huge role, no doubt. What would you recommend by the way?
