Can These Be Minoxidil Side Effects?

I got a hair transplant done 5 months ago and a couple weeks after it got onto Minoxidil, and also took a bunch of other supplements every day. I never made the connection back then but I've actually had a very rough 5 months...

Biggest problem I've faced is insomnia - and the funny thing is I've enjoyed really solid sleep all my life - 8-9 hours every day. I've gone through a lot but it never affected my sleep. But last 5 months I've been finding it impossible to get more than 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Recently I've been feeling low / depressive moods as well - this might have to do with the sleep issues or could be an independent issue.

I kept attributing all these issues to a bunch of factors like 'life changes', etc... But the timing is impeccable. Also, I stopped minoxidil a week ago and that very weekend slept like 11 hours every night! And started feeling like myself again...

Of course, I'm extremely vary drawing conclusions - the mind can so easily be misled and the world is full of unwarranted beliefs and conclusions.

Have you heard of or experienced such side effects from Minoxidil? I actually couldn't find much user reports with similar symptoms so really questioning my conclusion... If this is familiar, would be great if you can point me to similar reports...

Yes I've noticed that it takes longer to get to sleep.

Yes it comes clearly from Minoxidil. I have the same issues

A part of topical Minoxidil goes systemic which leads to lower blood pressure. At night the blood pressure drops naturally more which causes you to wake up. If this is the only side effect then it's okay.

Reduce the application (only once a day, best in the morning) or switch to 2% and you will probably better
