can someone please help me identify what the heck this is

Hey all I don't know what the heck is going on but I have a weird line on my head in front of my cowlick and the back of it and I googled everything I could and came up with nothing is this a normal sign of male pattern baldness or just the way my hair grows ? I did wear a hat all day if that counts for anything

It could be an early sign of male pattern baldness but looks quite dense your hair
Wearing hat doesn't cause hair loss, its just a myth. Sometime you gotta check out hair loss facts and should know that myths are bs

My hair is fairly thick all over except in that one line area of my crown. I know wearing hats doesn't cause balding I just meant when I wear hats especially if I put one on when my hair is damp it flattens it out and makes it appear less thick
