Can Someone Please Clarify This For Me In Relation To My Crown?

Hi everyone. A while back (November) I posted pictures of my crown and everyone told me I was OK. But I have a small query. When I go to the shower and my hair dries my crown is normal as everyone said but if I don't shower for 3 or 4 days my hair becomes oily and my crown becomes different. As in it is more visible. Why the heck is that? I saw a videos of myself from back in 2013 and it was the same. When my hair was oily my crown was visible and everything but when my hair was clean it is a normal crown.

If it was the same in 2013 as it is now then you've got nothing to worry about, just be a bit more hygienic and shower more often.

OK thanks. But why does that happen anyways? Like why does it become different when I don't shower for say 3 or 4 days?

Everyone's hair looks different if it hasn't been washed in 3 or 4 days, if you have fine or thin hair (not balding) then it's obviously going to make it appear even thinner. It could also be that you're thinning at an extremely slow rate, but with how you've described your hair looking full on the crown after you shower that doesn't seem to be the case. Posting pictures may give you a more accurate assumption but if your hair is exactly how you've described you have nothing to worry about regarding hair loss, just make sure you shower a bit more often.

Hi again thanks for your reply. OK So these two pictures here are both from 2013. One is when I had taken a shower the other is when I hadn't taken a shower for about 4 or 5 days. Then one where the picture is from the top is the one where I had taken a shower. I will post pictures of my crown from 2016 to 17 in a few as well.

Looks fine buddy, no visible hair loss. Just take a shower more often and your hair should be looking good all the time.

By the way did you see any difference from the 2013 pictures and now?

Not really, it's hard to see the no shower pic from 2013 with how zoomed in it is, either way your crown is fine and have nothing to worry about. By all means monitor it every few months, but speaking from experience here, don't let it become a psychological spiral where you obsess over it, especially when you likely have zero hair loss.

So I'm OK?
