Can scratching your scalp damage your hair follicles? I stopped using my nails and started usung my wifes hair brush...i know its dandruff cause of the flakes but when doing it am i damaging my hair? I cant help it cause it feels amazing and so relieving when i do. Any help?

Anything that could stress your scalp sure... but it's a piss in the ocean when it comes to hair loss if you damaged a follicle because you scratched too much.

are you scratching because of the itch? i had terrible itch and burning sensation on my crown when i was losing my hair. Anyway, scratching won't damage your hair.
