Can Nizoral cause unwanted hairgrowth (on forehead)?

I noticed in the mirror today that I have some really thin hairs on the top of my forehead now, its not miniaturized hair since its below the original hairline. I know minoxidil is known to cause this, but I m not taking minoxidil, I only taking nizoral, can nizoral be responsible for this? if so should I avoid getting nizoral below my hairline?

ps. I m also using hydrocortisone and ketoconazole cream on my forehead in the last week to treat mild seborrheic dermatitis on my forehead and nose, is it possible that one of these creams is responsible for the hair growth?

Yes, the Ketoconazole in Nizoral can stimulate hair growth, just like Minoxidil. The really thin hairs growing on top of your forehead will not be a problem. Getting Ketoconazole below your hairline onto your forehead won't be an issue.

I am unsure on how Hydrocortisone is affecting your hair growth, it's probably not doing anything to effect your hair.

you can't grow hair anywhere that you don't have hair folicles. but if its helping your hairline then thats a good thing! nizoral and minoxidil stimulate "sleeping folicles" to grow hair, thats pretty much it.
