I'm having trouble growing native hairs on recipient area, most notibly my crown. I have been on finasteride 1.25mg every day for 1 year, i've been on minoxidil 2ml a day for a year as well. Crown area native hairs falling off and not growing back, FUE hairs still there. Before the FUE, it was not like this at all. I got FUE back in March 2014. Hairline native hairs are also suffering from the same. I'm not sure what to do anymore.

You should get a blood test to see what your DHT level is, even though you are on finasteride it may still be too high. Minoxidil does not grow damaged hair back, it only brings out healthy hair follicles that are dormant. My crown has been very slow to grow back myself.

Question: if "native" hair was not inclined to fall out from the top part of the scalp, why would we all get transplants from the back?
