Can minoxidil do this???

I quit minoxidil a few months ago, and as expected am shedding. What I find odd is I am not just shedding from the top of the head, where the minoxidil was applied but also the sides and back of the head, as well as the eyebrows. I dont recall ever seeing an eyebrow fall before this, and the other day I saw 8-10 fall in an hour period.

Is it possible for minoxidil to cause shedding where it was never applied? I realize minoxidil becomes systemic, but has anyone ever seen/heard of this? Thanks for your help.

yes; minoxidil can thicken up almost any hair on the body including sides, back and eyebrows even if u apply it to just your head. i've seen before and after pics of some guy who's eyebrows became about twice as thick from applying minoxidil to his head. and when u stop minoxidil, u lose all the hair u gained.

but it is possible u r losing hair from something incompletely unrelated

Thanks for the response antman. This shed is getting ridiculous, Does anyone know if I get back on minoxidil how long it would take before the shedding to return to normal levels? I have been off minoxidil for 2+ months now.
