Remember I am under 18, so I can't start the treatments yet. Here are some pics from my story http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=52596&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=30

-Ok, I'm taking 2 Saw Palmetto capsules in the morning, 2 in the night.

-I'm using Nizoral Shampoo (sometimes once a week, and sometimes twice a week)

-I drink large amounts of Green Tea a day.

-I also drink a glass or two of Soy Milk for estrogen

-Aloe Vera Gel applied to some parts of my scalp every two days.

-I'm drink 'Maximum Strength Aloe Vera Juice", around 1 and a half tablespoons once a day.

-Stinging Nettle Supplement once a day.

-Olive Oil massged into scalp once a week.

-I'm using this Shampoo bar from Lush called 'New' It contains spices (Cinammon) that increase blood flow in the scalp. It contains peppermint, Nettle, Rosmary.

Is they anything worth adding, which can help strengthen my hair. Help block DHT, or increase blood flow?

Well if you're at a Norwood 3 or more I would suggest adding one of the two major players - Finasteride or Minoxodil, or at the very least topical spironolactone (when you turn 18). But first be sure you actually have male pattern baldness at such a young age, and aren;t just paranoid. A young Norwood 1-2 should be able to manage with a conservative approach for a while. IF you are a NW3 or worse, those other things are good, but not enough to get your blood levels of DHT down far enough to see a marked improvement, or strong enough to stimulate your scalp to a profound enough degree to see serious progress.

Unfortunately male pattern baldness is stronger than just diet and marginally effective topicals alone. You need serious topicals, or serious DHT inhibitors, or both.

Also I would toss the Emu Oil, the Jojoba and the Nizoral and replace it with Revita. Revita has Ketoconazole 1%, Zinc PCA, Emu Oil, Biotin, Topical Caffeine, Copper Peptides, and MSM all in one bottle. It's about $30 bucks for a bottle, but if used in moderation can last 2 months easy (quarter sized dollop 2-3 times a week lathers entire head nicely, and conserves).

If you're set on not taking minoxidil or finasteride yet, then I'd say get Revita for sure, look into Topical Green Tea Extracts and consider dropping red meat from your diet and adding more avocado, and almonds.

Thank you SO much for your advice. I will take it on board. I'm making a visit to the doctor next week anyway to just make sure I am not rapidly losing my hair.

If everything is alright with me my, which I'm sure it isn't. Will the things I am taking make it worse?
