Hi I’m new to this whole thing but I’m a 20 year old male and I’m really concerned that I’m going to go bald. My hairline looks like it’s receding but it’s looked pretty much the same since I was 14-15. Iv never really had hair on the temples. My dads dad is the only bald family member I have but he didn’t loose his hair until later on in life. I’ve attached a few pictures an one of what it was like in 2013. If someone could give me an indication if I am suffering with male pattern baldness or if it’s lost my hairline I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t have any thinking at the crown or throughout my head either.

Yea you are receding . You are nw2.5 ish

You can try to treat it with medications and save up for a transplant in the future. Over all not in a bad state if you act in time.

If someone showed me those pictures id say the exact same, it’s just cause it’s been like that for so long now I wondered if it was maybe just my hairline, like I don’t think it’s actually gone back Iv worried for years it’s never changed. Thanks for the advice though

You can keep monitoring it for another year (take pics every 2 months or so). If you see it is indeed receding, then your options would be Finasteride, Minoxidil, Nizoral shampoo....

I started finasteride when I was around 25. Still holding my hair, after 15 years. (both my dad, grand dad are NW5).. :-(

Good luck.

Well possibly you are just balding at a very slow rate? If that's the case just monitor and when it gets worse hop on meds

If you care about hair .

Sorry but I disagree. I think that he needs to start treatment asap if he wants to improve his current hair. Waiting longer might just decrease his chances of keeping his hair. Just my opinion though.
