Hey,

I am prescribed to adderall for ADHD and I saw this random post online where this lady started taking adderall for a few months and all her hair fell out. Can adderall (a dextro-amphetamine) speed up hair loss?

Check this out: http://www.baldingblog.com/2006/02/22/r ... -hair-loss

I found it when I searched "adderall and hair loss" just now. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and there is no correlation, but the paranoia comes from the fact that the adderall is a central nervous stimulant and I can feel my head more or something. It is increased sensitivity of the nerves but it makes me think that it's bad for my hair or something, haha.

Any advice? Thanks.

Any amphetamine can cause hairloss.

I took Adderall tablets and Adderall XR, but I didn't have any hairloss at the time.

I don't think the content of amphetamine is high enough to cause hairloss.

Alright cool, thanks. Doing some more research and it seems like people aren't eating right when taking the adderall as it curbs (or even completely suppresses) your appetite, and mal-nutrition can obviously cause a bit of hair loss.
