Can a bald man grow his hair back - theoretically?

I know we do not have any products currently, but when DHT kills the follicle, is it gone forever? Or can it restart the cycle and grow hair again?

Not sure about follicles coming back. I always thought of them like a plant. It can wither and be on deaths door, but enough care and treatment it can make a comeback. Though if it's gone completely then that's it. I wonder how small the follicle gets before falling out if it is still enough to save it and get it thicker with finasteride or minoxidil?
