Calling Dutasteride Users And Experts.

Hi I've been using dutasteride 0.5 for 4.5 months and recently made switch to 1mg. I am experiencing a very annoying shed and lost so much density. Do you think I made the right call to increase the dosage ? Can this be the cause of the shed or its minoxidil ? Ive also restarded minoxidil about a month ago after a 2-3 month break. What do you think this is confusing

Well stopping the minoxidil for that long could cause you to lose ground. Why did you stop? Also, increasing the dosage of Dutas could also cause a shed... so it could be a combination of both. Why did you increase the Dutas when you had only been using it at the lower dose for 4.5 months?

As a general rule, you need to be consistent with treatments. Don't stop and start things, unless you have good reason of course. It's very difficult to answer this question but the fact you stopped minoxidil for that amount of time could be the cause of the shed.

after using it for 2 years I thought it would do me no good anymore and the dosage thing is I just wanted to inhibit more dht and I'm glad I did I have less oily skin and less acne compared to 0.5.

Whats your experience with duta bro ? Did you have regrowth ? Does it stop to mantein after 2 years ?

You can't really stop minoxidil once you start and have been using it for 2 years. You will lose any gains you have or any hair it was helping you maintain. This is most likely the reason for your shed.

It was the minoxidil he was taking for 2 years, not the Dutas. He has only been taking that for 4.5 months if I have understood the post correctly.

Hopefully you can get your gains from minoxidil back. Just get back on it and stay on it.

What do you think if I dropped the dutasteride to 0.5 dosage and added finasteride ? would that be more beneficial cause I'm not seeing the results I'm expecting I was expecting temple regrowth .

if you drop from duta to finas get ready to lose some gains. in my opinion duta will help to incredible thick the hairs what you have. where there isnt any hair specially the temples nothing will help to regrothw terminal hairs even if duta works much better in the front than finas. maybe some dark vellus.. hair transplant is the only solution
