Calling All Hairy finasteride Users!!

I've just been looking into starting finasteride (just turned 21 and already a Norwood 1.5 at best). I'm also pretty damn hairy (back, arms, shoulders, the whole deal) and it's getting thicker by the day. I'm still pretty terrified of all the sides I've been hearing about but was hoping that hairy men had a better history of sides. My father is also hairy but not nearly as much as me and he had decent hair until his mid-thirties. I'm 100% sure there's a correlation between body hair and hair loss but I'm just wondering if finasteride is any less risky for me because of all my body hair.

finasteride will most likely reduce your body hair and yes it seems VERY hairy men are usually bald, DHT grows body hair

Thanks but I'm wondering if the side effects of finasteride are somewhat lessened by being hairy. Anyone have any experiences?

I'm 24, and have a good amount of body hair, and am thinning on the crown. I've only been using Propecia for about 3 months.

I was worried about side effects too, and it made me think seriously before starting Propecia. I did Propecia and Rogaine for a while, but Rogaine just annoyed the hell out of me, and one day I knocked a bottle into the toilet and that ended up being the last time I used it haha. I have another bottle unopened, but I haven't bothered with it.

So I've just been doing Propecia now, and I read up on all the side effects for the most part, and some of them are scary. When I started taking it, I was watching closely every day how I would react and eventually just stopped thinking about it. Now I check every now and then how it's looking and to be honest there's not really any improvements that I can see. And as far as sides, I haven't noticed anything at all to be honest.

List some sides you are worried about, and I will think back on my situation. Maybe I've put something out of my mind, but I don't think I've had any sides thus far.

And yeah, don't you get frustrated when you see all your body hair and then see yourself thinning on your head!? I know I do. I hate body hair!
