ok im 21 and started using minoxidil. for my frontal thinning from about a month ago. right away it seemed to almost stop my fallout. Then, today during the 4th week, i noticed quite a bit of fallout. I got a feeling its the start of a big shed. I want to know if this has happened to you. If it has, how long did it go on for? and did it all come back? Im scared to keep takin it if the hair wont come back. Please respond. thanks

Stop the presses everyone. Minoxidil causes a shed at the 4 week mark!!!

Read the directions, it tells you that it will.

Completely normal.

And no there is no way to distinguish between a shed and normal hair loss.

Iv started a shed on minoxidil I reckon, but I have only been on it for 1 and a half weeks.. Whats weird is my thick hairs seem to be coming out as well, wonder if this is normal? Guys?

I had a wicked shed around this time as well as a result of the minoxidil. In my opinion this is a good thing. Soon after a month or so the sheding decreased majorly. I also started propecia at that time too.

Stick with the minoxidil. I guarantee in a couple months everything will loook great.
