Buying Propecia in the USA

Hi all,
this is my first post here. I am from Italy, I'm 28 years old, and I've been using Propecia for about 8 years now, + Minoxidil 5% for a little less (started later). No miracles, but at least it highly slowed my hair loss, and I still have hair on my head.
In 2 days I am going to the USA for a 6-month period, and my big fear is that if I stop with Propecia I will be back to Italy completely hairless. So: how to buy Propecia (or Finpecia or similar) and Minoxidil in the US? Is it easy to order it online (and fast, I don't want to stay 2 months without it)? Is it easy to buy it in pharmacies/stores: do I need a medical prescription, and if yes is it easy to get one considering that I won't have my usual doctor there? Of course, the question is related also for the online ordering: do I need a medical prescription to order online?
Hope someone can answer my questions. Thank you!

You can get the 5% in just about any location (grocery store, big chain department stores aka Walmart, Target, and of course drug stores) No prescription required for Min

Propecia in the states does require a prescription from a doctor. You will not be able to just walk into a drug store and pick up Propecia. If you have a prescription with a doctor in Italy then can arrange for you to be covered here in the states.

Thank you for your answer.
Does it mean that, if I bring with me the prescription of my Italian doctor, I will be able to use it to buy Propecia in the US?
And what about online shopping: will I be able to order Propecia online? And will I need a medical prescription even in that case?

Thank you!

You wont be able to just walk over to a US Pharmacy with it. Your doctor from italy will have to call it in for you. There a special procedures that must be followed but nothing difficult and he should already be able to do this for his patients.

It would probably be easier for you to however and maybe even cheaper to just buy your Propeical in your home territory and bring it with you. Just check it in your luggage or declair it in your carry on. As long as you have a perspiration you should be fine.

Ive never had any issue when i traveled in Europe last summer with my allergy prescriptions that I brought with me from the states.

hey man, Where you headed it in the US? As stated before Minoxidil is really easy to get in the US, it is sold under the brand name Rogaine, its basically in every pharmacy and food store. As for propecia i would say the easiest is to tell your Doctor at home and just bring a 6 month supply with you. The only other way I could see you getting it would be to have your doctor from italy call the pharmacy in the US and that could be a major hassel.

Do yourself a favor and just try to get it from a real doctor with a prescription man.

Is it so difficult to understand that I do not have a doctor in the USA?

hey it actually is kinda difficult to get a doctor for something like propecia. If your in the US and you get sick or hurt its very easy to get great medical attention, however to just get something like propecia you would prob need to have seen the Doctor before, or been refered by another doctor. Plus the US has private health insurance, so your visit will be expensive. Just bring extra from italy

Thank you for your explanation.
Unfortunately I am already in the US, and I only have 1 month of propecia from Italy...
Do any of you know if it is possible to order it from a (trusted) website?

sorry not sure about that but i know alot ppl on this site do order without prescriptions from websites but i dont know what websites they use.
If your really worried, go online and find a doctor by you, and call them and explain your situation they should be able to write you a prescription for for propecia.

This website will help you find a doctor:
http://doctor.webmd.com/physician_finde ... onsor=core

Your going to want to go to a dermatologist.
Tell them you are from italy you dont have insurance and you need a prescription filled. They will make an appointment with you and have you come in. The doctors visit will prob cost anywhere from 20 to 100 dollars, and then the propecia itself will prob be about 190 dollars for a 3 month supply.

Good luck and enjoy the US man!
