buying Minoxidil in Canada

I was just wondering where my fellow Canadians are buying generic Minoxidil 5%. It's not available over the counter yet (and maybe not even by prescription?) and sometimes shipping from the US can be pricey. Does anyone have any suggestions?

And as far as the 2% goes, where's the best place to buy that? Rogaine at a pharmacy is pretty expensive. Has anyone had any luck with Zellers or Walmart or any other big chain store?

Hey Jimmy - I've heard of American's buying it from Walmart and having successful results. It should be the same in Canada.

Do you think Rogaine's helped you out at all? Have you had any regrowth or just maintained? And what about applying it twice a day - is it a real pain in the ***/changed your lifestyle at all?

I got mine from here:
http://www.minoxidilshop.com/genmin.html

probably not the cheapest site around but compared to buying from canadian pharmacies, it's pretty cheap. Even the generic minoxidil sold at walmart costs a lot more than buying it online.

I suggest getting it off ebay though. I remember some canadians saying they buy it from there so I checked out the prices and they cost less than what I paid for at minoxidilshop.com

i'm not sure if rogaine has helped yet since it's only been about a month. I find it easy to apply since i shave my hair really short (#1 with clippers) so i can just do a quick spray in the morning and at night.

I ended up buying the 2% from the pharmacy - the price was steep, but it's only a month supply and it'll be kind of a test to see if I can deal with putting the stuff on twice a day. I realize that might seem stupid, but I live a pretty active life and I don't want to spend too much money on something I rarely use.
