Hello, just recently found this website and have found it very useful. My hair is thinning all over on top and I just started propecia last week. I am interested in using a form of minoxidil but the greasy scalp makes me nervous.

My hair and scalp have always been very oily, when I get up in the morning my hair looks wet. I cant go anywhere without washing my hair. If I apply minoxidil each morning I am afraid of what my hair will look like. Any suggestions?

I have a oily scalp myself. I use Nizoral Shampoo 1% which I purchased from Walgreens and it helps with minoxidil itch and makes my hair look fuller as well.
I don't use the nizoral all the time. About every other day or when I can't stand the minoxidil itch.

try it once and you'll know.

the best way to find out.

Or if u dont mind paying a little more for minoxidil, try 540 Minoxidil 5% without Propylene Glycol, 65 mL found at https://www.minoxidil.com/product.php

The PG free formula is actually more greasy, but less irritating.

You could try Lipoxidils alcohol and PG free minoxidil -

No, less than 2%. Stop trying to scare people.

Nizoral Shampoo, T GEL should keep the grease away.

The mino from rogaine and such are the one that's oily. Dr. Lee aren't and are fast drying too! :)
