--------------------------
It's OK for me, though I hate topicals, so even this is borderline for me.
I use the Dutas to save money on Proscar, and because dutasteride might inhibit slightly different forms of 5ar2 more than finasteride does. Also, I don't like letting 5ar2 recuperate for 2 days straight. I think the Proscar EOD by itself would be good enough regardless. Since monkeys at finasteride powder with their food, cutting the Proscar should not be a problem.
The ginger shampoo is 250mL for $10, free shipping, and the Nizoral 1% is $15 for 7oz. I do a pre-wash if I think my scalp is dirty, but usually the shampoo's lather just fine.
I get the 95% GTE and applepoly in bulk powder very cheaply, and the white curcumin is $7 for 10g. So that 2% topical costs almost nothing.
Applepoly has growth stimulants in it,
EGCG in GTE is an AR inhibitor
curcumin is a 5ar inhibitor that inhibits types 1 and 2, reducing hampster flank organ growth 80% in the presence of testosterone.
Anti-oxidants protect the skin from immune attack.
The minoxidil is walmart's equate minoxidil, 3 for $19 after tax. I removed 12mL and add 12mL of Lee's 0.05% Retin-A, which I store in the fridge.
Sometimes I use it twice a day, but at night with RU works well.
Minoxidil with Retin-A in it has been used in studies and shown at 6 months to be as effective as minoxidil twice daily. Not sure if it is the increased absorption or AR downregulation.
1.5mL of 2% RU costs me $40 per month, though I don't plan to continue it, since the rest of my regimen costs me less than $30 per month and may be strong enough. Maybe I'll put one of Micheal Berry's oils in my GTE and call it done.
If a continue the CP's, I'll use 1mL of tricomin EOD and make 180mL last 1year. I think skin remodling is cumulative.
---------------------------------
If I remove the RU, my regimen is well under $30 per month. The topicals are not as nice as foam, but the AC spray and anti-oxidants don't seem to be as cosmetically bad as the minoxidil, which I usually apply before bed or an hour or so before a shower. I don't apply them right before going out.
