Just a guess if I remember from your pics that you are now probably at least 40 yrs old?

Anyway, this post might sound offensive, buy it will help clarify for me and maybe others about your intentions and sanity.

I know nobody except Ernie who posts so many messages about hair loss (but you probably trump him because of being on so many boards without being banned).

Your posts are often helpful (unlike Ernie's).

However, there is no-one in the world who would spend so much time on hair loss mesage boards at 40 (if that is your age). Maybe some time on here at any age for personal hair loss reasons or comraderie is reasonable, but definitely not the kind of time you spend here -- especialy the prolonged and lengthy arguments/discussions you often have.

You can't possibly say you just do it out of interest in helping others. You could help others much more doing something else with all this time in that case -- as their is really nothing much better than Propecia/Rogaine despite all your years here, so any advice you give doesn't help much even if its very interesting at times. Everyone knows about Propecia and Rogaine, and for minor details such as dosage, pill cutting etc.., there are others of less intelligence who can guide them. Your intelligence is wasted here!

If you say its just a hobby, I might believe you, but I will give you some advice: you are wasting your life completely.

If you say you make money (either via Proctor's products or some other way such as indirectly selling something like Propecia, Revivogen etc...), I would be more inclined to say it is a good enough reason to be online all the time at your age.

But I don't think you every said you make money.

So how could someone as intelligent as yourself waste life like this?

If it is so addictive, will I be like you at 40 and be here half the day arguing and posting everywhere? That is scary.

I know this is judgemental, but I have been thinking of it for a while and got curious.

brian is not being paid by any companies for his comments. I'm fairly sure he doesnt even use propecia nor minoxidil. I think its just a hobby for him and he likes helping those who need questions answered and correcting all the BS thats out there and false rumors that get spread so easily. My .02$

Couldn't this have been handled by PM rather then bringing it open in the public forum...

And whatever his reasons, he is a big help to most people on the board/s.

He says Proctor's products are better than minoxidil or Propecia by itself if I remember right. That is not necessarily useful information if biased, irrespective of how many studies and personal evidence he cites. Even if unbiased, I don't know if other docs would agree with such statements.

So my questions about suspicion and motives and sanity are justified and I bet many others wonder about Bryan too.

And he is already getting so much positive support in this thread that I doubt one person like myself's suspicions will affect Bryan's sleep.

How about asking yourself if its any of your business?

Maybe.. if I get convinced of buying Prox in future due to unbiased info.

Also because I read some interesting posts by people like S. Foote where there is too much arguing and immaturity in the thread to sort through.

In general, I don't spend as much time on hairloss sites as I used to. The lengthy discussions/arguments that I continue to have with Stephen Foote, though, are done just for the sheer entertainment value that I get from them. It's fun to argue with kooks! :)

BTW, you may have noticed that lately, I've actually been spending more time in the "Off-topic" forum here than the main ones, discussing things that have nothing to do with hairloss.

Sometimes I do feel like I'm spinning my wheels on these sites. But I just can't stand to see misinformation being posted! I usually only jump in when I spot something fairly egregious.

FYI, I only read a small percentage of the threads. If the topic of a thread isn't something that interests me, I don't bother to look inside.

You might be right...

I don't make money, or get any other kind of benefit from what I post. I post my own personal thoughts and opinions.

Correct.

I do a few things outside these forums!

Yes you will.

Wow that was a great reply and you didn't even get annoyed like all your supporters!

You definitely seem much younger than 56 and maybe all this research and bickering with younger people keeps you very active mentally:)

I do believe that you aren't here for the money from your sincere response.

And I hope you are wrong about this long-term addiction to forums in my case (especially if HM comes out or I get a hair transplant).

But maybe when I am 56 I will be hooked to something else much worse
-- like those guys on Dateline who have been getting caught lately if you know what I mean.

Thanks for your reply.

What is the point in this post? With respect, what has it got to do with you what he does with his time? On the contrary, you clearly have all the time in the world to be thinking of the life of Brian ( ). Seems like you have an axe to grind. WUM.

56 year olds, are not senile by any means usually. You seem like you are talking about people who are 75+.

Anyone who genuinely wants some insight into Bryan Sheltons motives, and his aledged interest in true science, should read this thread.
