I'm 25 and NW6 with diffuse thinning on back and sides as well. I know excess oil makes the scalp shiny but i've noticed even when I just get of shower after using T/Sal my scalp is still shiny (like extra smooth) and the shine is very differentiable from my face/neck (kind of rough skin - no shine).

So what exactly is causing my scalp to look so smooth & shiny? you think scalp peel would be effective as the TCA peels help remodel the skin somewhat?

Probably a process that is somewhat similar to the disease that causes this hand to look shiny.

From what I've read the miniaturization of the follicles promotes growth of the nearby glands cos the space for expansion increases.
Larger gland = More sebum production = More shine.

Correct me If I'm "el wrongo" !!
