Bryan:Glycerol instead of PPG in spironolactone solution

I have thought that given the fact that glycerol (1,2,3-propanetriol) has one -OH group more than PPG and ergo it's more viscous, it might allow for a better spironolactone solution.
This way, what about:

-50% Glycerol
-50% Etanol

would that be a better idea than using PPG + Ethanol?

It might be, but it's almost impossible to accurately predict these things ON PAPER, as "college" is always trying to do! :wink:

Countering what you pointed out above might be the fact that propylene glycol permeates the skin better than glycerol, according to the Merck Index.
