So I´m back from the Doctor...

First the good news: its a rather severe form of gyno and it´s not cancer

The bad news: not yet...it could become cancer...

I have to come again in 3 months...

Well...

I dont know what to do know...3 weeks of Propecia and still sides...testicle pain also not changing...

Bizarre, and very unlucky. Did you tell the Doctor about your testicle pain as well as your gyno?

I have an appointment in thursday for a mammogram. Then I will know more. Some people over the internet seem to share my breast problem...

Its rather strange that the side effects are still there including my light testicle pain...

Here´s a quote from another forum member:

The finasteride itself has a half-life of 5-6 hours but the 5AR Type II enzyme's half life is 30 days and the Type I enzyme is 14 days.

http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic3/propecia_cp.htm

If this is true, the idea of taking finasteride every day sounds incredibly excessive.

These extreme side effects are INCREDIBLY rare. I've never had any problems with finasteride, and neither have around 98% of users, according to the data from the clinical trials.

At one point, I'm sure people could have said this about LOTS of FDA approved medicines that were forced to be recalled. The list is fairly long. Although, those listed sides never appear as severe until you're the one who's developing them.

Or better yet, every drug or supplement comes with a risk to be weighed against the benefits... some more than others. Meanwhile, there are people who refuse to believe a potential risk could ever exist. In fact, here are lots of people otherwise in denial on this very forum.

I was aware that there could be side effects, but sides this bad were beyond my imagination...

Perhaps my problem was that I had tried Propecia a few times in the past.

The sides seems to get worse with each try...

I´m really afraid that they will never go away

I don´t really see why only 2-3 weeks using this "rat poison" does so much damage...

I am golden but what feeling should I try to monitor in my nipples?

How does tenderness feel?

I read on the other forum, that the 2% figure DOSEN'T include the people who dropped out of the trials due to sides....

I dont really have breast tenderness, but just pain and two lumps behind each nipple...

Left one rather painful...

For some strange reason my testicle pain has increased today...

I never would have believed that propecia could work this way after quitting it...

In three controlled clinical trials for PROPECIA of 12-month duration, 1.4% of patients taking PROPECIA were discontinued due to adverse experiences... compared to 1.6% for placebo. So even folks taking a sugar pill were complaining of adverse reactions LOL

There's an element of risk involved with anything you do in life - working, driving, flying, playing sports, having sex. You have to make your own personal cost-benefit calculation.

I dont think the placebo effect works for me, because I already was on finasteride with only minor sides and I wasn´t afraid at all the last time I started the treatment.

After almost 5 weeks off Propecia (I only took it 2 weeks this time) the sides are hardly noticeable anymore...

I´m really glad that my body returns to normal...

How did you get medically diagnosed with severe gyno and now your body is normal? I really don't understand since gyno is permanent and would need to be surgically removed....or are you just referring to the other sides that you've been having?

induced gyno is reversable once you cut back or stop the meds.

Inherited gyno isnt as your body is already out of whack.

Oh. I thought once one actually developed glandular growth which I took "severe gyno" to be it could only be surgically removed. I guess I was mistaken. Thanks.

naw there are plenty of people here that had it completely reversed once they stopped the medications.

I actually have been having a slight bout seen on myself with this so i cut back my dutasteride from daily to 2-3 times a week and started taking Tamoxen daily and its going away.

I think the lumps are still there but reversing...from time to time I feel a minor pain...

My testicles seem ok right now...no aching anymore...
