why do you want to take a break?

ive tried to find this post in the forum that explains this
i believe dr. proctor wrote it

the Doctor said that 1 month is probably the longest amount of time
even once daily application would be better than none at all

cheers

Actually one application a day may be enough for some people. I know its enough for me. As far as i remember minoxidil is active up to 10 hours after it's absorbed.

well i wouldn't ever take a break

like i said i tried to find the forum post that spoke about it

i believe dr proctor said that a 1 month break should not result in detrimental loss of newly grown hair

but like i said i would never take a break from minoxidil
its a lifelong commitment

im off it 2 months and my hairs similar to before although i do feel my temples has worsened slighty.

regardless, minoxidil is useless. unless u experience exceptional results you are a fool to commit to putting that sh*t on ur head twice a day for the rest of your life. its sad.

Erm.... this is true. In the hair industry it is well known that they call this a snake oil on the terms you have to use it forever if you want to maintain your hair. However, the stuff works!

As for how long will the hair fall out? Minoxidil has a half life of 4.2 hrs and loses complete effectiveness at 8 hours. The body will have flushed out all this drug in less than a day. Depending on the body, hairs will actually fall out within a week and within a month you will lose most hair. This still depends on the person involved. Each individual will be different.

Like me, I came off regaine / rogaine ten years ago as I thought it did not work. I lost most temple hair in less than a month. Panic buttons crept in and I went straight on, alot of rubbish until I found propecia.

Anyway, hope this helps. Coming off, a day a month will not actually matter. Body actually takes around a month to readjust to the changes [going through cold turkey].

"Snake oil" is something that does not work. Just because you need to use it forever does not make minoxidil a "snake oil" and it is not well known as one.

I agree each individual may be different but I can almost 100% assure you that hairs will not fall out in a week.

Where are you getting your information? It can't be coming from this board.
